When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead is an interesting book. It helps to be familiar with A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle, as this is Miranda’s favorite book, and gives a foundation to the story. But it’s not necessary to know that book in order to enjoy this one.

Highly recommended for ages 8 and up.
