While Savvy by Ingrid Law was a fun story, it contained a plethora of alliterative adjectives.
The audiobook narrator was rather bland, but I listened all the way through, so she wasn’t horrid. I did like the characters.
I just glanced at some of the reviews on GoodReads – and like me, there are many who say, “meh.” The writing is overdone, some of the situations are rather outlandish, and – well, basically nothing new to see here.
Perhaps best read aloud or to oneself than as an audiobook. I don’t think there’s anything outlandish here – I’d not object if my kids wanted to read this series. It’s not one I will invest in for my shelves.
Have you read it? What did you think?
