Billy Twitters and his Blue Whale Problem

I cannot say I have ever heard an adult tell their child, “If you don’t clean your room, we will buy you a blue whale!”

But it doesn’t really matter. Billy Twitters heard that, and although he didn’t believe it, his parents DID buy him a blue whale.

Which is ridiculous. Which is what makes Billy Twitters and his Blue Whale Problem by Mac Barnett, and illustrated by Adam Rex, so funny.

The whale is delivered by “FEDUp. Delivering Punishments Worldwide.”

Billy has to take the whale to school.

Then the bus breaks down and he has to take everyone home – on his whale.

Barnett and Rex are a great team – they’ve teamed up on other books, like Chloe and the LionChloe and the Lion.
