Amanda loves celebrating Thanksgiving with her large family at her Bubbe’s house. Bubbe always prepares a special feast – she cooks and prepares every day for a month. But the best part of the holiday is right before bed, when Bubbe lets her choose a wishbone, and they make a special Thanksgiving wish.
But then Bubbe passes away, and Amanda wonders how Thanksgiving will ever be the same. The family tries to make the Thanksgiving feast the way Bubbe would, but they run into all sorts of problems. The problems bring them together, and gets the whole neighborhood involved in their Thanksgiving dinner.
But what about Amanda’s special Thanksgiving wish?
A Thanksgiving Wish by Michael J. Rosen celebrates the love of family, traditions both old and new, and the memories of loved ones who have passed away.
