If you’re looking for a tiny little gift for your valentine – one that won’t die in two days, or add inches to her waistline – I encourage you to pick up She Loves Me… She Loves Me Not… by Robert Keeshan.
Although you will read through this tiny picture book quickly, it’s a fun little story. It starts with a little boy with four daisies. He gives one to a little girl, and she plays a game… Can you guess which one?
I was picturing the game coming to a disastrous end, but Keeshan has fun with it, and the ending is quite lovely.
Maurice Sendak illustrated this little story, which makes it all the more enjoyable.
Recommended for all ages.
