Moxie knows Grumps wasn’t perfect. But she isn’t going to go blabbing family business to the neighborhood. Then one day, a stranger shows up at the front door, asking for Grumps. And not taking no for an answer.
Moxie starts on a quest. Why does this stranger want her Grumps? And what could Grumps remember about those days? After all, he’s in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s. After a bit of digging, she realizes Grumps must have hidden the art stolen from the Gardner Museum! Can she and her friend Ollie find the art before the red-head does?
Moxie and the Art of Rule Breaking by Erin Dionne is a fun, and suspenseful, mystery. The audio book is performed by Amy McFadden – and I gotta say, her Boston accent is pretty amazing.
Highly recommended for ages 8 and up.
